Our Mission   H.E.R.O.I.N. Hurts, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed exclusively for charitable support, advocacy, and educational purposes. H.E.R.O.I.N Hurts, Inc. shall provide parents, family members, and friends of persons with addictions; educational, emotional, and social support, which will enable them to advocate for health, security, education, and rehabilitation of people with substance addictions.

Our Goals Providing family support. Serving as an information collection and dissemination center. Monitoring existing treatment and rehabilitation centers, staff and programming for adequacy and accountability. Promoting new and remedial legislation. Fostering public education about the nature of addiction. Pressing for quality institutionalized treatment of persons with addiction. Promoting community support programs, including appropriate living arrangements linked with supportive social, vocational rehabilitation and employment programs. Promoting research (preventive, alternative treatment modalities, rehabilitation, and cure). Improving private and government funding for rehabilitation facilities and services, care and treatment, residential and research programs. Forming liaisons with appropriate and similar organizations. Socializing and receiving funds in support of all of the above.
